Perfect target

I have had several life size targets, and none of them make sense, except this one. Real life view, great for pinpoint vital practice, the easiest target to pull arrows by far. I put my large bag target behind it and they all pull with 2 fingers! Try that with a life size foam target! You will spend half the time shooting, then half the time pulling arrows even after you grease them up.

4 of 5 stars but closer to 5

Only reason it’s not 5 is because the main investment for the full elk pretty steep on price, imo. If you cut the price in half, I’d end up buying a whole new elk or multiples yearly instead of only shooting at it for occasional practice. If I let all my friends shoot it, it’d look like a liver and gut shot competition lol but for real then a cheap vitals replacement would be pointless. Mine has held up great the last two years tho and honestly I don’t think there’s a more realistic looking target, 3d or otherwise, than what you have going. At least I can say that for the elk. I live in elk country and see a lot of elk regularly and when I have that set up in the woods, I still have to double take. Looks real af. I’ve got mine canted up hill a bit and the head hidden behind a tree; that setup has taught me a lot about angles and how how to adjust aim. All but one bull I’ve taken have been on flat ground but the one that wasn’t was centimeters or less from it being a bad day. Knowing how that could have played out has changed how I practice and having this target for specific practice gives me much better awareness of up and downhill canted shot placement.
I prefer shooting at that elk over painted foam circles 1000/1 and over 3D 100/1 (for practice efficacy)
I hope you find this review helpful.

Real life practice

This adds a new perception to our archery practice. Dialing in on a spot is important, picking a spot on a live animal is another part of the puzzle to success.
